Finland: A sea pool is to be built in Helsinki

By summer 2016 in the center of the Helsinki City next to the market square there should be a sea pool built. After 2 years of examination of the Allas project has finally received the license for construction. This includes the complex that has two swimming pools located in the sea areas and a wooden pavilion at the coastline. A two-story building will allocate a restaurant and café, exhibition and seminar halls of the Baltic Sea Center, three saunas, changing rooms and open terrace. The swimming area will include three pools: one is going to be filled with sea water and the rest with fresh water. The pools with fresh water will have a heating system and in winter time there should be an awning built. The project is designed for two years. After the construction is finished, those modules that are built up of wood can be dismounted and transported to some other place.
